Amazon is very often cheaper than ebay.

I've just ordered three items from Amazon; a book, a Nintendo DS game and a Wii game. Before I ordered them I compared prices with those on ebay and actually got into a bidding war for the DS game - Animal Crossing which started off at a selling price, used £3.99 with £2.50 p&p. At the point I backed off it was up to £14 and finally sold at £16. Yet at Amazon a used one with box and instructions was for sale at £13.89 and £2.03 p&p.

I found the same with the Wii game at just £14.98 for Mario Karts but up to £17 bid on ebay and the bidding hasn't stopped yet.

I always presumed things would be cheaper on ebay but actually they aren't. So always compare with Amazon before you buy.

i agree i got most my stuff on amazon and all cheaper than everywhere else and delivery fab too as most come with royal mail so go the local sorting office rather than back to supplier

Totally agree. I've only started using eBay this year, whereas I've used amazon for several years. Have got some amazing bargains on eBay but it definitely isn't the cheapest every time! I got some sheet music recently that was much cheaper new on amazon.

Now whenever I decide on something I might like to buy, I always add it to my amazon wishlist, and compare it at the time I want to buy.

My top tip is to look on HUKD (hot uk deals) everyday, through out the day. If you've never used that site before I wrongly recommend it, it has peoplebposting deals that they find either online or in store and anything from a tin of peas reduced to 1p or a Ferrari with £1000 off , price glitches, voucher codes etc. I saved myself an absolute fortune last year. Sometimes you have to be quick to grab a bargain. I wouldn't buy anything until I've checked HUKD out first.

Also cross reference Amazon with Play.com, Amazon are often cheaper but sometimes play turns out to be a few pounds cheaper. Off to check HUKD - havent heard of that one yet!

Join up to a cash back company
and go through them to do your shopping. DH has joined Quidco and they are linked to several stores including Play dot com and Amazon. Your still get all the deals and also get cash back.
