What goodies are you putting in, as I've come up blank as to what to put inside. So ideas much appreciated thanks Xmas Grin

I go to Poundland and stuff it full of crap Smile A diary, sweets, chocolate, body sprays, shower gel etc. He is always surprised at how much I get and yet don't spend that much on things that are gone within a month!

I hate the shop though, too busy so I go before work at 8!

DarcieandSnowballsmum · 05/12/2011 10:41

I think DP would be happy if I just stuffed his stocking with Chocolate lol!

Mine too and I don't get lovely expensive as he prefers Dairy Milk and is like a big kid - eating it before dinner! Also, a cute little card to put in his wallet from card shops, e.g. 'How Much I Love You', or pictures of DC or a picture of the both of you to put in there. I love stockings - best part! - and I tend to get carried away!

DarcieandSnowballsmum · 05/12/2011 13:42

DP is a cadburys man lol. Good idea about a picture - can't get one done until I drop this baby (due anyday now)! Could get a new wallet to put in there I guess!

Dh is getting silly socks, a wind-up pacman, cufflinks and hydrophobic sand. And chocolate. And beer.

Also a note in the toe of the stocking that says "I love you, now make me a cup of tea, love Bertha"

DarcieandSnowballsmum · 05/12/2011 14:09

Bertha Loving the note Xmas Grin

I'm doing a stocking for DP for the first time this year. I think I have got carried away as DD is too young to really appreciate christmas. It's been a bit difficult as DP has a health condition that means he can't eat any sugar, so all chocolate and sweets are out. I have got him so far:
a paperback book (second hand in Oxfam)
a head massager
a bottle of beer
some beef jerky
an older DVD (also second hand)
a torch

MistletoeAndFlump · 05/12/2011 14:32

I also include something a bit rude - a 'voucher' for something naughty or a - ahem - toy of some sort. Obviously that's not a good idea if you open your stockings in front of the family Smile

BoysBoysBoysAndMe · 05/12/2011 14:35

Stabucks Gift Card
Krispy Kremes Gift Card - both have local drive through's and he's driving all day at work.
Chocolate
Sprays
Shower gel
Shave foam
Sweets
Scratchcard
Comedy DVD

And this year he will be getting a note at the bottom too Bertha requesting a Bucks Fizz! Xmas Grin

Pancakeflipper · 05/12/2011 14:36

So far my DP has a
crystal growing kit,
pens, some highlighters, some post-it notes (all for his office), s
chocolate coins,
some jelly beans,
deodorant,
shower gel,
shower sponge thingy,
moleskin note book.

lucysmam · 05/12/2011 14:59

So far my dp is getting, deodorant, shower gel, shave gel & razor, keyring hip flask from quid shop, chocolate, couple of bike accessories from quid shop, gloves, scarf & a bottle of aftershave. He took money for my present a few weeks ago but has asked me for Modern Warfare 3 and a couple of other x-box related things in the after Xmas sales so I'm just going to keep adding random bits from Poundland until Xmas. Oh, I'll probably bung some footy related things in too, socks/shorts because he could do with some new ones but won't take the cash for them at this time of year.

thereistheball · 05/12/2011 16:18

I just found these which look good: basically, teensy Lego - I got the piano one, which comes in a sachet, for DH's stocking.

DarcieandSnowballsmum · 05/12/2011 17:07

Thanks Ladies, this is giving me great ideas Xmas Smile

yellowflowers · 05/12/2011 17:11

Based on my own ideas and in tips from here and other threads, I am putting in:

Dairy milk Turkish delight (I hate it, he loves it)
Pork scratchings
Magazine (probably a foodie one, maybe Viz)
Scratchcard
Percy Pigs
Probably a Lego figure I will make myself in the Lego store

DarcieandSnowballsmum · 05/12/2011 17:17

This is brilliant thanks all

Socks - novelty ones natch
Cd - 2012
Drumstick lollies
Scratchcard
Toiletries
Photo paperweight with pic of kids in

Not very exciting but he's getting stone roses tickets for his main present so he can be bloody grateful!

mumeeee · 06/12/2011 12:08

DH gets. Socks, magazines, cheap books, silly novelty gift, bottle of wine and some other small bits and pieces but not sure what I'm going to do this year.

Ja9 · 06/12/2011 12:16

Blimey i cant remember what i have bought for dh stocking....

an ale
new boxers
tube of sourtastic haribo
mullet top trumps
...will have a wee look later and add the other things...

mckenzie · 06/12/2011 14:03

what are mullet top trumps Ja9?

Ja9 · 06/12/2011 16:08

a wee fit of fun

mckenzie · 06/12/2011 17:19

thanks Ja9. Yes, I can see that should provide a few chuckles.

Quenelle · 06/12/2011 17:22

I've bought DH a thingy for winding his ipod earphones round so the wires stay all neat. It was £2 from M&S.

DarcieandSnowballsmum · 07/12/2011 12:56

So far i've put in:

Novelty Socks
Sweets
Toblerone
Tigger Showergel
Hairbrush

Will have Hangover Part 2 on dvd in there when I get it too.

Is that enough do you think?

OP posts:
TheChristmasTreeSurgeonsMate · 07/12/2011 13:53

Seems enough to me. I've only got one thing so far, special "book repair" scotch tape. We're just starting the page-tearing years.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 07/12/2011 18:12

I haven't done his stocking yet but it will contain some or all of:

Pork pie
Garners pickled onions
Guinness
Chocolate (lots of)
Bombay mix
Peanuts
Japanese rice crackers
A word game (if they are still half price in M&S!)
A puzzle book
Shower gel

I am also doing him a 'Running box' containing

running gloves and socks
energy bars
glucose sweets
nasty post-run drink
magazine
brazil nuts
muscle soak
If anybody has more suggestions for what to put in this, that would be great.
