Help! Toy cars with doors that open?!

Please does anybody know where you can buy them, ideally not at £10 per car?

We're thinking of buying DS his first garage for Christmas, but DH is adamant that only models of real cars will do. And DS has just been playing happily with the collection at his DGPs' house and they all have opening doors, which seemed to be his favourite bit.

But can I find them anywhere...?

Please help!

Know the feeling. Unfortunately I haven't found a popular make that does opening doors on all it's models but Corgi do the most. My Ds loved his London taxi cab I picked up on the IOW ferry. It has opening doors and a plastic wheelchair ramp you can pull out.

I got a mini and a landrover in poundland with opening doors. BUT whilst they were cheap the mini's wheel keeps falling off after only a couple of months. Doesn't actually bother DS (2.7) as he likes to then make it do wheelies.

My mum got some (VW camper, another mini, and a bmw) in Smyths on 3 for 2 which were about £2.99 each. This are also pull back and go ones.

Thanks everyone - it's good to know that I'm not missing something obvious. Sounds like a trip to Poundland is in order Xmas Smile.
