When do you do your Christmas Food shopping?

Those of us that still sclep to the supermarket. I've not got my head round online supermarket shopping

DCs finish on Fri 16th, DH on 23rd, so I've got a week before Christmas to do things with them, but that doesn't include food shopping.

I'm planning to do the pantry/freezer shopping in the week (I like to escape to Sainsbo in the evening).
Then do the last minute stuff on Friday evening while DH takes DCs to the cinema.

Will anybody be waiting till Christmas Eve to bag the bargains?

All non perishable bits are already done. I have an online shop coming on the Friday.

I'm with Bellavita. All non-perishables (pantry and frozen) bought (except for a few items like biscuits-for-cheese that I forgot, grrr) and all fresh being delivered on the Friday before. That gives me a one-day buffer (Christmas Eve) to run to the local co-op for whatever the tesco man didn't have in stock. I'd never risk waiting for bargains on Christmas Eve for the whole shop, but might be tempted to pick up a couple of bargains (treats that I'd never pay full price for) that day as an add-to IYSWIM.

Exactly Marks... A one day buffer that I DH will use for anything that does not turn up on my order

I will be having a dry goods delivery on the 14th and will probaly get the beef joint we are having and put it the freezer next week. The only shop I be going near will br the greengrocers to get fresh fruit/veg prob the 22/23.

i am going to the farm shop on tuesday to order my meat. got a load of non perishable bits already, and other stuff will be bought from sainsbos on the 23rd.

Main online shop booked with Waitrose ( the only time of year I use them ) for 22 Dec evening. I'll stock up a bit on stuff the week before too.
Fruit and veg by van delivery 22 Dec, order it next week.
Turkey DH buys in London on his way home from work on 23rd.

Anything to avoid setting foot in a supermarket 21-24 Dec, basically.

We waited til Christmas Eve last year to buy the turkey but they didn't reduce them like they did the year before.
