Personality transplant

Um seriously, how about a 'hamper'
Hmv voucher? Chocs, socks, dance/music magazines.

A lump of coal for being a brat?

LadyWord · 03/12/2011 20:20

Boring, but she would probably appreciate money most. Or failing that a Boots voucher, all 16yo girls can find something they want at Boots...

Bellavita · 03/12/2011 20:20

My 15 yr old niece wants money...

Teenagers are like this and I think we underestimate how big an impact their hormonal changes are having on them. Try to give her a break and the benefit of the doubt. We accept mood swings in other hormonal situations like pregnancy, periods, menopause - adolescence is like having this all the time.

Northernlurker · 03/12/2011 20:25

It's her hormones. My dd is having her moments too. What about a 'cool' t-shirt?

RJRabbit · 03/12/2011 20:27

iTunes voucher
Make up
Superdry t shirt
Hollister anything
Hair straighteners

dementedma · 03/12/2011 20:37

stuff from Lush
itunes voucher
voucher for facial/massage

Tillyboo · 03/12/2011 21:48

Thx for the suggestions ...
Erm, not just her hormones, she's been like it since she was 4 ! Has no concept of the the consequences of upsetting people. No remorse, doesn't care one jot & can get physical & abusive too! If there were vouchers for Boot Camp or National Service, she'd be getting those !
But, at the end of the day she's my family & we all want to help her but she won't open up & talk, we don't know how to help her which is very sad.
My sister is at her wits end and very worried about what the future holds. She refuses to go for job interviews, she actually had a job in a shop for 2 days & decided she wouldn't go back, no explanation, no reason .... that's just for starters Xmas Confused
