Why oh, why oh, why do the little boxes not tell you that the fairy lights will come in a circle, not a long string, when they say they are 10m long? Grr!

Gosh.. never come across that before. I would assume they are a long string too. What make are they and where did you buy them? (so I don't go an make same mistake) Grin

I would take them back

We got them in Tesco today. £8.

I have used the mistake to my advantage and got dh to "help" me figure out what to do with them. They claimed to be 10m which was the length we needed. Obviously, for our purposes, they are only 5m. Dh got so annoyed he announced we would have to buy different ones.

I have draped them artfully across the mantelpiece in the lounge. I will now be allowed them in the sun lounge and over the mantelpiece too. Mini victory for parsnips. Yay!

It will also mean that I now need the pine needle garlanding for the mantelpiece as well (to wind the lights through of course).

I am queen of turning things to my advantage Xmas Grin

We have some like that it is so annoying, they're nearly impossible to get on a tree, ours are also in the garland on the mantlepiece.
