Awkward kids to buy for. 3.5 b, 5.5 b and 7 g.

My three charges in one of my jobs. Family are of a Steiner disposition so no plastics, kids on very limiting diet so no foods, have beeswax crayons already. Must be quite cheap! I'm home making for every other person but can't do anything for them!

Help?

i thought of colouring books but they have tonnes already, and 5.5yo is SN, has never been interested in crayons or arts and crafts.

what are you home making for others? can you make them little toy felt gnomes? Steiner love gnomes!

If too expensive it might give you ideas of something you could make?

Packets of seeds and pots to grow "something acceptable" on the window ledge? herbs maybe? (what's Steiner? I am picturing Amish with knobs on here - why do they restrict DCs diet? and what to )

Have a look at yellowmoon? They've a lot of craft stuff but lots of other things too.

Is there a book any of them would like? I have an almost 5 year old boy (no sn admittedly) and he adores his encyclopaedia which was 4 quid in tesco I think.

What about some musical instruments?

what nerfmum said ,also holtz toys do some cheap pocket money bits, most of their stuff is expensive but they do have a small gifts bit of cheaper stuff and its all very steinery!

What about making felt glove puppets? They're easy and cheap.

I'm knitting a peppa pig for a relative, two snowmen for a 2yo and 12mo and maybe a robot for my godson aged 2.5. He is another one I'm having trouble with as I'm not sure he'd appreciate a snowman!

For adults I'm making hampers with hot chocolate, fudge, chutney, gingerbread syrup, pickle, sugar scrub and other things depending on who they are.

snice: I'm possibly doing that for other people but can't for these three, they have an extremely specialised diet which is almost purely meat and a small handful of vegetables, even the meat has to be specially source due to chemicals in animal feeds!

I love myriad and yellowmoon but can't afford anything from there.

I could get away with books for the 7yo (obsessed with jungles atm) and possibly 3yo (dinosaurs a firm favourite), but 5yo isn't interested in them. He's the main one I'm having trouble with!
