Are you the kind of family that goes all out with footprints in the snow etc. and is that why they still believe?

I'm asking as a parent whose eldest ds is 8 and hasn't really believed since he was 6. So for me it is difficult to imagine a 10, 11, 12 year old believing.

I put my foot in it the other day, talking about someone 'dressing up as Santa' in front of my 15 year old DD and her 15 and 13 year old friends. Their mum told me off for 'spoiling the magic' after the kids had left the room and said her 13 YO still believes.

DC isn't born yet but.... a few years ago, SIL (or boyfriend's sister as she was at the time) and I had to put a the wine and mince pie out for Santa. FIL was a good sport about it and left crumbs and everything. We were 22 and 19 at the time (and a little tiddled) Xmas Smile
