How many people do you buy presents for?

Right - it is now December so I can start to think about Christmas. I have just written out my list of people to buy for and it comes to 20. Just seems a bit ludicrously long to me.

Don't really feel I can strike anyone off the list but wondered what the average out there is.

i buy for 10 adults and 10 dc's but thats including dp and my own 4 dc's, so 20 here too [15 excluding dp and my own dc's]

If you have big family then it's difficult to leave some out.
I have only one sister and one neice, DH has one brother with no family, so numbers are low already. Only one of my friend's DD gets a present from me, they are very close friends. Rest of friends and their kids get just cards and probably little bag of homemade christmas cookies.
