Due to our cat being ill 
DH won't countenance my long held plan of going to London (for a long day out) to see the lights. Now I know London's not exactly Vegas, but it's a darn sight better than Sheffield, and I really wanted DS (8) to see something a bit different this year, so planned Covent Garden, Regent Street, Hamleys (with my ShopSavvy app to show DS just exactly what a farking rip off most things are there), Oxford Street and Selfridges, and then up to Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park. [sob!]
I've heard that the Xmas markets in Manchester and Birmingham are good, and of course York always looks nice, but how do their lights stack up? On a scale of 1-10? Can anyone help?
