He is really really hard to buy for. He is not in any way materialistic, has everything he needs, only things he might want are way beyond my budget, but he does want something special from me, I can't just buy him boxers or socks or jumpers

What are you getting your DPs?

He is into cars and car maintainance. He is not into gadgets. He is into electronics and arduinos but I haven' a clue about those.

I keep asking him for a list but he cannot think of anything. I am tempted to just say no present this year and put the money towards a holiday or something...

aftershave, new watch, wallet, ps3/xbox games, cufflinks, posh smellies, etc

I am getting my DH a kindle and nothing else. If there really isn't anything your DP wants I would buy yourself some fancy underwear and put the rest of the cash you would have spent towards a holiday. I'm sure he'll be happyWink

Handcuff him to the desk until he writes you an Amazon wishlist. I wouldn't know WTF to get DP if he didn't do that.

I'm getting my hubby some silver cufflinks with an impression of our DS's fingerprint. You can get them and lots of other great pressies from notonthehighstreet.com. They're not cheap but what else do you get the man who has everything?!? Hope this helps xxx

Thanks for the suggestions.

He doesn't shave, so no need for aftershave. He doesn't use 'smellies' at all, not even deodorant, so wouldn't want anything like that, altohugh he mentioned he might like some nice cream or something from Crabtree and Evelyn...

He has a perfectly good watch and isn't interested in replacing it.

He has requested I make him a wallet, so I will, so that's one (small) thing!

He doesn't want any games for his PS3, he is not that big a gamer, just plays the three games he already has.

Cufflinks no way, he just wouldn't get excited by them.

Have trawled not on the high street for inspiration. I am going to make him a t-shirt with a V8 engine on it once I find a good enough image to make into a stencil.

Underwear, that's a good idea, he would appreciate that! Grin

I will be handcuffing him to his laptop tonight to write me a wishlist.

Get him a digital radio thing for his car if he doesn't already have one.

OhYouBadBadkitten · 01/12/2011 17:32

If he likes cars, why not tickets to a motorsport event?

overmydeadbody · 01/12/2011 17:52

said that would be a good idea, except he has already built and installed a computer in his car. You have given me an idea though Smile

Possibly tickets to a car event, I will run that past him tonight! Thanks kitten.

metal detector?

overmydeadbody · 01/12/2011 18:13

lol. DS would love a metal detector. DP would not.

Why are some men so difficult to buy for?
