If you were a 9 year old girl, what would you want?

Digital camera?
iPod nano?
Something else?

I haven't a clue what to get her. She's into lots of things, but nothing stands out as a definite successful present.
The budget is around £40-50.

Any suggestions gratefully considered :)

Mine is getting a Dsi and game for her big present, and the rest is mostly Miguel Tuna and his kit. About the only other things she's getting are a Chinese Lady outfit, with a gorgeous embroidered dress, slippers, parasol, and fan (all from Amazon, and about £25 for the lot).
We got the VTech Kidzoom cameras last year, and they've been very successful, but they were more than £50.
Doll's house? Is she a "girly girl" or more into outdoorsy or sporty stuff? Books?

What is Miguel Tuna??

hughiethewhale · 01/12/2011 14:53

Sylvanian families

He's a five foot stuffed caterpillar who is coming home from the war at Christmas to live with his wife and only child (who already live with us) Grin (There's a thread in classics if you want the whole story - it got a lot bit epic and out of control Grin )

Thankyou for the suggestions :)
Pom, I was on the Miguel FB page but it disappeared Confused

I think we're steering towards a camera. I've not so subtly quizzed her.

DD 9.6 yo is getting Sylvanian Families (her choice) >Got her the Hotel in Argos half price.
Little SF bits- furniture, conservatory, twins - most of them picked up when there's been special offers.

(She got her guinea-pigs in October and is very enamoured of them and hasn't really asked for presents TBH. But she can't have nothing for Christmas Grin )

I remember being 9 and wanting Silvanian Families stuff..would have never crossed my mind to ask for technical stuff.

They grow up too fast now.

DD is 8 and her list included things like DSi games (Cooking Mama and Moshi Monsters) and Wii game (Just Dance). She has also asked for a Moon Sand thing that you can bake, a Bop It and a Rubix cube.

She is not going to be getting a single expensive present, but instead will probably get the DS and wii games, and the other things she has asked for.

I am also going to buy her a mini cupcake maker as a surprise (www.amazon.co.uk/Electric-Cupcake-Muffin-Maker-Recipes/dp/B004SGIXGU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1322819124&sr=8-1) as she loves to bake and I think this will be much appreciated. T

o go with that I plan to get a doodle book for cakes or fashion as she's also quite arty and likes things like that (www.amazon.co.uk/Dancing-Doodles-Doodle-Books-Jackson/dp/1907151435/ref=pd_bxgy_b_img_c).

Other possible buys could be clothes, sparkly bags, nail varnish, book box sets.
