And she is difficult to buy for because she already has lots of stuff.

So any ideas please, looking at up to £5 and must fit into a cracker.

DMum has got a perfume atomiser, DDad has got a USB memory stick, DS has got a harmonica, not sure about DH yet but he is easier than DMIL.

Something cooking or gadget related, or something for travel or in a handbag?

Going mad trying to find something good Sad

Handbag charm?

Mini whisk? House of Fraser had some tiny ones in last week

TheSkiingGardener · 30/11/2011 22:27

Mini whisk is a possible.

She'll make a rude joke about it too.....

Mini whisk. A bit over budget. Sorry.

TheSkiingGardener · 30/11/2011 22:30

Ooooo, that has led to an olive spoon, which would be suitably obscure I think.

An oil drizzler? They sell them in John Lewis and Robert Dyas I think

TheSkiingGardener · 30/11/2011 22:30

He he he.

Love the mini whisk but the joke would be too rude!

Hmmm, tempting though.

Bottle stopper?

TheSkiingGardener · 30/11/2011 22:33

Good idea LoveInAColdClimate but she has many. People buy her odd things every Christmas.

The mini whisk is too big for a cracker unfortunately

Would one of those silicon tube things for peeling garlic fit? It might...

TheSkiingGardener · 30/11/2011 22:36

Ah, that's true.

Earrings?

How about a spice or one of Willy Wonka's Chocolate tube things?

TheSkiingGardener · 30/11/2011 22:54

Oil drizzlers are a possible, the garlic peeler won't fit and DON'T google Willy Wonkas chocolate tubes!

LemonDifficult · 30/11/2011 23:02

The chocolate thing!

TheSkiingGardener · 30/11/2011 23:09

Like the chocolate. Definitely gourmet too so she would like that.

Oh my god, we have to do personal cracker fillers too?

faints

TheSkiingGardener · 30/11/2011 23:27

EEK!

Item of costume jewellery from somewhere like M&S. A necklace without its packaging might fit well?

Doing your own crackers? I salute you!
Would like to do this too if I was hosting. The cost of crackers that have rubbish inside is insane.

Wormshuffler · 01/12/2011 08:16

Lottery ticket?

girlywhirly · 01/12/2011 08:20

Eyeshadow, lippie, pretty pen for handbag, keyring, handbag charm, nylon reuseable shopping bag (rolls up small)

Bottle stoppers, ones for stopping fizz going flat, stainless steel measuring spoons, strawberry stem remover, miniature grater for nutmeg, pastry brush, mesh infuser for loose leaf tea, spaghetti measure (fill the holes with the right amount for the correct portion sizes of long or short dry spaghetti)

I can't think of any more just now!

TheSkiingGardener · 01/12/2011 15:01

Found it!

An enamelled type handbag hook.

Those ideas were all great girlywhirly but over the years we have bought each other more kitchen gadgets than I care to think about. Hence, I am the proud owner of a nutmeg holder (so you don't scrape your to gets when grating nutmeg)

Thanks for everyone's help.
