Come and give me a kick up the bum...need to assemble the PM advent calendar!

Two years ago I ds got my his first PM advent calendar. Despite being warned by MN, I left it until the last minute to set up all the boxes and it took me ages.

Last year, I had been organised enough to have packed it away with all the bits in the correct boxes but was on holiday until the 3rd December so hurriedly set up the boxes on the display thing.

I discovered a few weeks ago that the boiler had leaked, ruining the PM calendar so I've replaced it with a discontinued one which still has the little cardboard boxes. I've been putting off getting it ready but I have run out of time and tonight is the night. I need a kick up the bum to make me do it!

I can't offer a kick, it isn't festive!

But..if you don't get a move on, you will see a tiny face looking like this Sad in the morning.

On the other hand, if you get started now, you will be greeted by a tiny face doing this Grin.

So there you go - which path will you choose?

Mmmmmmhhh best go find ours, first time this year and hadn't realised there was assembly involved : )

ASuitableGirl · 30/11/2011 18:16

Go on - do it :) It's not so bad. And then you'll have a lovely calendar for tomorrow :)

ASuitableGirl · 30/11/2011 18:18

If its a brand new one it won't need any constructing

mogs0 · 30/11/2011 19:39

Thanks!

Obi - that worked far better than a virtual kick!

Fresh - the newer versions don't need pre-assembly so you might be ok

Asuitablegirl - it's brand new but an old version with the boxes on purpose so it be reused.

Drat! I've just discovered that I've bought the disposable type not the reusable one. On the plus side, there's no assembly required Grin.

One of the days is empty though, I wonder if PM would send out the missing bit or whether I should just add something from our ds' collection.

Panic over! I've found the missing piece in another space!

You can reuse the other ones (have one on its third outing this year :))

Fresh01 · 30/11/2011 21:31

Thanks, yes it was new so no pre-assembly apart from the scene : )

Phew. Glad to hear that you can reuse the newer variety too. I like the fact that there are doors to open a la normal advent calendars but definitely did buy it with a view to reusing it.

The cardboard on the doors seems good and strong so am sure that with a little care we should be able to put everything back in the boxes and pull them too for packing away.

That is if my DD lets it go back in the loft.....
