What's the earliest I can put up my real Christmas Tree?

We have a smallish real one in a pot we've been using for the last 4 years. It lives outside in the garden the rest of the year in its pot. DH says we have to wait until saturday week to put it up or it will drop needles or die by christmas. It's not the traditional type of tree but a thicker needled one which is better about not dropping.

Is DH right?

We are planning to put ours up on the 10th, so same date as your DH I think. We normally leave it a week later, but the tree was still going strong well into the New Year last year.

run we usually do it the weekend before christmas I can't wait that long this year . Tbh I'm desperate to get rid of all the decorations as soon as christmas is over so I want to have as long as possible enjoying them with the pre chrimbo run up
