If you play a box game at the table after dinner in a civilised (or non-civilised) fashion, please share your favourite games cos I want a new one to play bore everyone to death with on Christmas Day!

Scrabble. Because I always beat DP and because SIL and MIL are brilliant at it so it gets properly ferocious

Small World is our latest find and I love it because I keep beating everyone

Carcassonne is a favourite too.

Cranium or pictionary

I got Smart Ass for Christmas last year - we really enjoyed it.

Rapidough - we had great fun with it last year!

Pictionary on whiteboards, scattergories for the after dinner slump.

Also: Trivial pursuit, Scotland yard.

Oh and Risk.

Monopoly or Cleudo would be my choice.

But its likely to be Lego Harry Potter orlego Shave a sheep if the DC's choose.

Balderdash would be the game of choice in our family.
