Help me buy a Wii - I am a luddite!

Thinking of buying a Wii for DH for Xmas, but also hope DD (5yo) will be able to use it too. DH was once a playstation fanatic, and DD doesn't even really know computer games exist!!!

Sooooo, which one should I buy? Have seen info on Amazon about Wii Mario Kart (with Wheel) and also Wii Sports. Any idea which one would be most suitable??

Asda were selling the wii for £89 not sure if they still are though. Mario kart is a must. I have yet to meet anyone who doesn't love it

Just to let you know, Nintendo will release a new Wii next year. Read about it here. So you should think about whether you want to get a model that is about to be updated. Also, since there is a new model coming out next year, you can expect that the prices will be slashed beforehand.

Games on XBox are generally much better quality, AFAIK
