My DDs' is tonight. They are busy excitedly getting ready. I love their faces as they go around, seeing FC in the grotto, getting their faces painted, winning daft prizes on even dafter games.
But I hate it at the same time. The school is pretty open plan in a lot of parts, but in their wisdom they create narrow pathways using tables to tunnel you whichever way they want you to go. It is irritating and, I am sure, not always safe to have so many people in such a small space but is the same every year.
We are wise to it now though. Hang coats on the kids pegs and go around in t shirts so as not to overheat, take a carrier each to cart all the loot they buy/win around with them. Visit the most popular stalls before queueing for things like face painting and FC so that everything isn't gone by the time you get there.
