Ours are made of lamb sausages wrapped in pastrami, because we don't have pork at home.

So I need a snappy new name for them.

Any ideas?

pigleychez · 24/11/2011 13:32

My Dad always called them Devil's on horseback. No idea why?!

PomBearAtTheGatesOfDoom · 24/11/2011 13:35

Blu · 24/11/2011 13:36

Fleecy lambs
Shorn Sheep

Blu · 24/11/2011 13:36

Pastrausage Rolls

overmydeadbody · 24/11/2011 13:38

Why do they need a name? Just call them sausages in pastrami.

TeriHatchetJob · 24/11/2011 13:39

mutton dressed in ham.....

crazynanna · 24/11/2011 13:40

I was going to say like Teri

Mutton dressed as ham.

Pigless blankets?

I thought pigs in blankets (sausage wrapped in bacon) was not a pig in blanket anyway. I also though a devil on horseback was something to do with a date or a prune.

notso · 24/11/2011 13:48

Lambstrami

Anvil · 24/11/2011 13:50

I think Angels on Horseback is oysters on bacon...

seeker · 24/11/2011 13:51

I thought w devil on horseback was qn oyster wrapped in bacon.

notso · 24/11/2011 13:59

Wiki says Devil on horseback is a prune or date stuffed with mango chutney and wrapped in bacon, Angel on HB is the same but with an oyster not a prune.

girlywhirly · 24/11/2011 14:10

We have never wrapped anything around our sausages, as we have our bacon separately.

What about 'a sheep in bulls clothing'

ClaimedByMe · 24/11/2011 14:12

We call them Freddie foreskins in our family

Dh asked me at breakfast what I was going to do today. When I told him that I was going to put the ovine in the bovine he just looked me blankly and said "Speak English!" Grin
