Any advice on how to make Christmas day special

Hi, this Christmas i will be 38 weeks pregnant with DC2.

DH wants it to be just me, him and DS for Christmas this year, which is fine.

But as we usually spend it with other family, and im going to have a big bump so even if it snows sledging is out. I need ideas of how to make the day special and not like any other sunday.

Any ideas so i can plan and look forward to the day?

Firstly, I hope it turns out as you expect - I was due 15th Jan last year but had baby on 18th Dec!! We're doing the same as you this year, will just be the three of us at home. I was thinking about having a day by candlelight (carefully!) and maybe saving the tree for the day itself (more because we have a tiny flat tho). Depending on what age your son is you could do a pressie hunt? Beyond that I'm hoping that gifts, carols and special food will do the trick.
