Presents to go with a Nintendo Ds

My godson is getting a nintendo ds for Christmas. However is has occurrd to me there is more than one type of DS! And I am not sure which he will receive.

Can someone please explain if a neoprene DS case will probably fit all DS models? It's like stretchy lap top case material.

I was also going to get him brightly coloured game cases. Are all the DS games the same size?

Sorry I am a sorry excuse for a God mother but I only have a girl and she is 6 months old so am not that clued up on these things yet!?

Any other nintendo DS related present suggestions also welcome!

my dc's have a ds lite and have a hard case to protect it if dropped, but to be honest i don't know if the ds lite, dsi, dsi xl and the ds 3d are all the same size, i know the dsi and dsi xl the screens are different sizes, i think you will have to find out what model he is getting and then go from there, once you know you could get a hard case, an accessory kit, game etc, but you need to know the model. find out and pop into game who will help you, or argos then if its wrong he will be able to exchange argos are good like that.

I think it would be worth checking what ds he is getting or just buy a gift voucher for him from 'Game' or a similar shop he ca get to.

Keep the receipt for whatever you buy anyway and check it can be returned or exchanged if need be.

Or you could buy him a case for all of his games to go in. A ds lite diff size from ds, And 3ds different again....

Definitely find out which kind it is - I've seen people selling cases on eBay because they'd got one too small for a DSiXL etc, so it's not a one size fits all thing. And if it's a 3DS, they take different games so it would help you out to know which kind to look for.

I think it depends on the type of case...the softer leather ones seem to fit different models where the harder plastic clip-on ones don't. But if you go into Game and talk to the nice men they're trained to deal with mums/grans who don't have a clue!!
