I want to get DP an iPod dock/speakers

At least I think that's what I want - so that he can play music off his iPod out loud... We are joining the 21st century! Anyway, any recommendations? Obviously you seem to be able to spend anything on this, budget of around £150 as will be main music source...

The best one is a Bose Docking Station. Sound is absolute awesome and nothing else comes close. It's pricey though, but you get what you pay for. My ex had one and I miss it (not him though!). My JML one is quite crap compared.

Bose is the best by far. Its worth paying that little bit more if you can. The Bose one is even better than our Apple dock which was more expensive at the time (still feel diddled).

I have the Bose portable sounddock and it's amazing. Quite a bit over budget though.

The portable one is more expensive, but they start about £200, and I think Bose might still be doing interest free credit on them?

The best dock in the world is the B&W (Bowers Wilkins) zeppelin, however you're right it will set you back £500-600.

I bought a secondary one for my bedroom specifically for an ipad By Altec Lansing, which tilts and has a remote for £70.

For the money you want to spend Bose will be your best value for money, and the sound is rich. There are different ones for different apple devices so I would recommend taking your ipod to the apple store, or electrical store and asking for a demo.
