I was looking for one for dd1 but she's a tom boy, they all seem to be pink and girly. From what i have seen (neice had one a few years ago) they are a waste of money, took my neice ages to get the bllody thing to open (did not recognise her voice) and she had to keep re-setting it Sad.

My dd wants one but I can't find any that don't have terrible reviews. I'm not paying £20 for a book that doesn't open.

I'd avoid them and go for a traditional locked one if I were you. Voice and password activated diaries are notoriously bad. They only ever end in tears I'm afraid. Sorry!

My 2 DDs are desparate for these so I looked into it as I had heard that they are generally not good. Vtech do one which is only available in Argos and it got some reasonable reviews online - much better than the girl tech one. My Mum has got them for them for Christmas so we haven't tried them yet but I am hoping they won't be a disappointment! It is also not pink Marne, but lilac ( I also have a tomboy Grin )

Thank you fifitrixibell I have had a look at the Argos V tech one, it looks great. I've scoured the Argos shopping website and the only one left in the entire country it seems is 250 miles away! luckily for me its a short drive from my elderly fathers house, so he is getting dispatched today for his 1st ever Argos experience! I have reserved it, so lets hope the mission is successful.

Thanks all for your tips.
