My SIL has requested this for dn but has specifically said not Boogie Babies. Anyone have any other suggestions? At a bit of a loss, she wants something to teach dn how to dance and not something like nursery rhymes to dance along to as she already has some of these. Thanks!!!

My daughter loved "How to be a ballet dancer". Watched it for hours when she was three...

There's a Strictly dance DVD/game for children. It's got a tutu thing, I think cummerbund/dickie bow for boys and scoring paddles like on the show. Home & Bargain stores are currently selling it for £3.99. I'm on my phone so can't do links properly.

My DD's have a DVD called WOW nursery rhymes. It has Dave Benson Phillips in. It has lots of nursery rhymes on and simple energetic dance moves. It's not specifically a dance DVD but it's taught my DD and me Grin to dance.

rhonda - how strange! - we have racked up numerous library fines with that same DVD. My DDs love it too although I can't say that I've watched t all the way through myself.

Depending on the age of the child, but my DDs liked:

  • How to be a ballet dancer DVD

  • Bella Ballerina.
