Serving dishes for Christmas dinner

Does anyone have any suggestions for nice serving dishes ?

Though actually I'd like some in time for Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday.

I'd prefer plain White and I think I like rectangular or square. Realistically I am likely to buy budget ones in the short term but would like to build up a collection of nicer ones over time. So please spam me with cheapo and top end ideas.

Apols for any typos or mangled grammar: nasp ( nursing at smart phone )

One of the supermarkets does plain white ones, I just can't think exactly where. I looked at them recently, they were quite nice, fairly heavy, and I think they had words embossed round the large rims. I didn't really take a lot of notice, I was just browsing aimlessly, but it will have been Asda, Morrisons or just maybe Poundstretcher where I saw them, and they were definitely not expensive at all.

Are you near an Ikea? I have bought some of these this year.
I don't see the point in paying alot for items that are used infrequently so anything with holly/ivy/Xmas motifs are not for me - these can be stored away and brought out whenever. I think I'll probably get a fair amount off Sunday dinner use out of them too.

M&S have some nice plain, white dishes and serving dishes. I can't remember the range but we had some lovely square plates.
