I have seen a bangle for DH on Etsy- how secure is it to buy on there from US?

Has anybody purchased from Etsy before, or any ideas where I can get something like this without paying "Not on the High Street" prices (although they do have some lovely ones!) My budget is very small Smile

etsy is pretty good, but if you are unsure about buying from the US, have you tried looking on folksy? (uk version of etsy)

I've bought stuff on there before, both from the US and UK. I've never had any problems, and the sellers I've dealt with have been lovely. The feedback ooks good for that seller too.

I think I paid by PayPal. Could you pay by PayPal using a credit card for extra protection, if you're really concerned?

If it's a Christmas present, I would message them beforehand to see how quickly they could get it too you.

Thanks everyone, I hadn't heard of Folksy - so I have had a look on there but when I search for Mens things, I seem to get mostly ladies? Not sure what I'm doing wrong! I have messaged seller to see how long it will take!

I've bought lots of things from US sellers on Etsy and never had a problem, it's all been through paypal - happy shopping :)

Folksy isn't in the same league as Etsy, IMO. I've bought loads from US sellers and it's always been fine. Smile Normally reasonable posting rates to UK, too.
You can always do a UK sellers only search if you want to find a UK seller, which would get to you faster.

I have bought on Etsy from the US - in fact dh has ordered a ring for me from a US jeweller. Everything has been fine except for the first time I ordered when I had to pay extra duty on the package -the seller agreed to share this cost with me though. I prefer Etsy to Folksy - much more interesting stuff. I have shops on both Grin
