Would like to get one for ds to listen to stories, he loves audio books, which one do you think would be best and easiest to use x thanks x

Whatever you go for, make sure you can limit the headphone level. Apple ipods have this feature, but others might not. Obviously if you were to use a dock or speakers this wouldn't matter so much.

I am thinking about getting one for DS1 aged 7 - for the same reason.
However, for some reason I can't download audio books onto my Ipod, and I'm wondering if its a problem with all mp3 players.
I've been looking at personal CD players instead, but if anyone has any experience of downloading audiobooks onto mp3 players I'd be very interested.
Thanks

umm think you can, my mum does I think, it was her idea, will double check. CDs in our house seem to just get scratched quickly, thought mp3 player a good way round this.

my ds (6) has an ipod shuffle and manages to work it fine. he's got music, podcasts and audio books on it. iloveblue, not sure why you're having problems, we've put audio books on by burning a disc into itunes then just drag and drop onto the ipod, but have also done it from the internet too.

My 2 year old has a Sweetpea 3:

It is fantastic, pretty much indestructible (got left outside in the rain overnight and is still working perfectly!) and very easy to use. Battery life is superb too.

Would totally recommend.
