Please give me ideas for 10yo dd!

Was wondering what your 10yo dds are asking for this Christmas? I cannot think what to buy and dd has no idea what she would like. When I asked her she just said "just get me some surprises".

Slight problem in that we live in the arse end of nowhere overseas so it can be hard to find anything decent, and we can't order online either. So just looking for general ideas really. We have 3 dcs so try to stick to £50 per child.

She is at an awkward stage between not really wanting toys anymore but not being a teenager either. So far I have 2 books and a DVD for her, bought when home last summer.

I realise it's an advantage in a way that she doesn't ask for specific things, but I do want to get her something!

what sort of things does she like/enjoy? Depending on what you can get wherever you are (and if you can say where you are, that might help with ideas).... could you make up a craft kit e.g. for making cards/scrapbook. If you are only wherever you are temporarily, things to make a scrapbook about her time there might be good. Cookery kits - cookbook and associated things like biscuit cutters/cake decorating stuff or related to local cuisine. Cheap camera? Can you knit/sew ? If so, things to introduce her to those skills? DD also likes things like scarves, jewellery, new top/Pjs etc
