Looking at the star wars ones - will a 4 year old boy lose it within 10 minutes?

Ds1 and2 have them. They are rather flimsy. They don't have a proper catch to hold them closed. A novelty but not practical.

I am dismayed that a reputable company like lego would produce these for kids. My son is six. At that age, they will fiddle with their toy style watch, of course. The components snap apart with such ease that one wonders if it is merely a design fault, or designed to corrupt parents into paying again and again for lost watches. My son was in tears this morning as his snapped off ....yet again, but this time in the snow, so gone now. His friends came off last week on his bike - and his tears persuaded his mum to buy another there and then. Do not buy this product unless you want tears! The numerous snap on - snap off components to the stap, snap off with such random regularity, as to make them utter tat. We are getting him a spiderman watch with strap instead. Have the job of persuading him tonight now. Thanks Lego.
