I always sleep in the nuddy so have no need of pyjamas at Xmas or any other time. Do you think Santa will notice? Do I need to cover up?

Slightlyreluctantexpat · 16/11/2011 00:22

What Christmas pyjamas? I don't understand.

Something like an Easter bonnet? But instead, December nightwear? Never heard of it.

CaptainNancy · 16/11/2011 00:24

Little White Company, Gap, Sainsburys last year, John Lewis quite a few years (don't like much there this year though)

perceptionreality · 16/11/2011 00:36

M&S have 25% off their children's pyjamas today only. Plus I added a 10% discount code and got another £4 off, code is MVCXMAS1

Actually I start hand knitting mine for all the family back in January. I unravel all the wool from their Xmas sweaters and make them into cosy night-time attire.

Oh FGS you obstructive bastards.

It is a mumsnet tradition which lots of us first heard of on here and have taken to our hearts ( well thats how it was for me anyway). New pjs which get their first wearing on Christmas eve night - I think it is lovely.

WhoWhoWhoWho · 16/11/2011 14:37

Primark [poor emotion]

candytuft63 · 16/11/2011 14:39

Primark - cheap and comfy, i only wear them on xmas eve and in the morning, when i imbibe the first glass of bubbly. Makes me feel all christmassy and sort of lovely !

I bought DSs Christmas pyjamas from M&S last week. They are superhero ones with a cape and will be his Christmas Eve tree present. It's a new tradition we're starting this year.

HappyAsEyeAm · 16/11/2011 15:28

I think there's another Christmas pyjamas thread on the Christmas forum

I got DS' in Boots (soldiers) and JoJo Maman Bebe (trains) this year.

I love those Autograph ones that weetiger posted about, but the waistband is too tight for DS to be comfortable in them all nght.

wahwahwah · 16/11/2011 15:29

John Lewis - proper tartan ones!

Fisharefriendsnotfood · 16/11/2011 15:45

I got ds lovely Thomas ones in boots but not got any for dd (3.8) yet

KatieScarlett2833 · 16/11/2011 15:48

The Primark red onesie for DD and I last year with the raindeer....

We look like Po from the t'tubbies.

LissTheSeasonLouBeJolly · 16/11/2011 15:53

I get them from wherever I can afford to that year. usually primark. ours are left on the doorstep while we walk the dog by neighbours jack frost along with a christmassy book (christmas carol this year) and a note informing ds that the big man is getting closer, so perhaps he ought to have a bath and go to bed.

works a treat.

KellyKettle · 16/11/2011 16:50

La Senza have two for £30 on pjs at the moment. I think I may get them and have one for me and one for dsis.

LissTheSeasonLouBeJolly · 16/11/2011 16:56

Kelly, its down to 2 for £25 at the month at la senza.

Where's a good place to get PJ's for lanky menfolk? DH is 6'2 with a 31inch inside leg & most PJ bottoms come up a few inches short.

Primark are good for nighties, but I prefer buying mens PJ's as they tend to have decent pockets in the trousers.
Bought a pair of maternity bottoms from Boden earlier this year, they are the shittest quality PJ's I've ever worn.

KellyKettle · 16/11/2011 17:57

Ooh thanks Liss that's even better! Smile

DD has got Little Charley Bear ones from Sainsburys this year. I don't go for Christmas themed ones but they have to be mostly red.

CaptainNancy · 16/11/2011 21:13

Liss/kelly - I bought the La Senza flannel type ones on 2 for 1 about 7 years ago... they are still going strong- really good quality, and soft and warm too.

CaptainNancy · 16/11/2011 21:16

awomancalledhorse- my DH is 6'2", and his pj trousers are from sainsburys- really thick flannel they are, very warm, good long length, and with good pockets! Grin

He tends to wear ordinary t-shirts with them so he had a 2 pack of trousers only, but they did have some that came with t-shirt type tops too. They're just checky-type, though grey rather than bodeny colours.
