Thank you gifts

Our DS is very lucky and has lots of great aunts/uncles who buy for him at Christmas. He's the only child in our family really (so far). Should I be buying "thank you" gifts for these people (and there are about 10 of them) or does a thank you card suffice? The thought of them giving him gifts and us handing them nothing in return feels a bit cheeky, but what would I give them??c

I think a thank you card is enough. If you want to give something more how about printing off a photo of your DS opening his presents and stick it in a thank you card?

If you absolutely have to give something in return then get 10 of something cheap that everyone could use - like a mug with DS' photo on. Or ask DS to do a picture if he's old enough?

I only give to kids in many cases, I wouldn't expect anything in return (although a thank you card/note is always appreciated).

I also think a thank you card is enough, I have never been given a thank you gift for a gift, and I really would not expect one.
If your DS is old enough could he make a thank you card? That way it is personal and thought out, but not too much iyswim

if these are people you are going to see at christmas then i would make them something hand-made from your ds as a token present for them - let him decorate some biscuits or make salt-dough decorations or even just a picture by him - which your ds can give them when they give him a present. then a short thank-you note, preferably with a photo of him enjoying/opening his gift. these little things mean a lot to old people!
