Every year dh asks what I want for Christmas and I never know what to tell him, with the consequence that last year he got me three pairs of knickers that were bloody HUGE and one pair was BROWN ffs! Oh and a nightie made out of nylon with a great big split up the middle!

Other presents have included a carving knife, a potted cabbage, a calculator and a mouse mat.

So I need some gift ideas for ME please! Share with me what you want for Chrimbo and I'll see if I can't find some inspiration.

bottle of Coco Mademoiselle
Hotel Chocolat goodies.

A kitchen aid (i wish) Smile, i cant think of much else.

belledechocchipcookie · 14/11/2011 12:11

A kindle. I can't see it happening unless I buy it myself though.

RightUpMyRue · 14/11/2011 12:11

Ooh, I started the thread about buying for DP/DH but I'm more than pleased to post what I want here. I emailed DP with some suggestions yesterday. They were:

These, to go with this. Which are both a bit mundane so I want this handbag too.

Brown knickers just shouldn't ever be made, should they? Who thought "brown, yes brown pants are winners" Confused

14? hair extensions
Driving lessons
Hariki Murakami's new novel

If I could have anything I'd ask for a black ipod classic and a new macbook. Alas, nobody I know has £1250 to spare.

teacoupons · 14/11/2011 12:12

Ok. 14? hair extensions and Haruki Murakami.

Fat fingers. Damn.

TheRhubarb · 14/11/2011 12:24

Hmm, well I don't really want expensive clothes, I have a bottle of perfume, I don't know what Naice China is (Nice China spelt wrong?) and I can already drive. A breadmaker might be nice but we've no room in our small kitchen for another gadget to clog up the work surfaces.

I suppose asking for George Clooney is out of the question?

Jo Malone cologne
Gas powered hair straighteners for camping
Poetry books

ENormaSnob · 14/11/2011 13:01

My list for birthday (30th Grin) and christmas consists of :-

A leather bag from fossil
A swarovski ring
Alien perfume
pajamas
dressing gown
slippers
socks
any make up and smellies
wine
chocs
scented candles
voucher for mani/pedi
clothes
camping stuff

Plus a dachsund that I can't have until ds2 is a little bit older.

I know dh has definately got the first 3 on my list. The rest are just ideas, I obviously don't expect the lot.

ENormaSnob · 14/11/2011 13:02

Oh and books.

Pretty sure he has got me the new patricia cornwell.

HappyAsEyeAm · 14/11/2011 13:03

Some clinique body things. I particularly like their sparkle skin exfoliator and body comfort body cream/lotion. And the body wash that is a peach colour. I think they're about £17 each, not the kind of money i'd spend on myself, but a lovely present.

TheRhubarb · 14/11/2011 13:05

Scented candles! I like those.
Bottle of champers perhaps? But then he'd insist on having some Angry

I'm getting sheepskin boots and a calendar ( I know this because I was there when I thrust them into DP's hands and said "you can get me these for christmas") Grin
Am thinking about asking for a homedics neck massager thingy but I don't know anyone who has one and DP thinks that they are probably just a waste of space that won't get used?
Would like an ipad but we havn't got the money this year.

CointreauVersial · 14/11/2011 13:12

DH and I don't buy for each other, we just treat ourselves to something nice together. This year it's a new bed (and yummy new cotton bedlinen).

I always give my brother a little list, though, as he always asks what I want. This year, just the Lucas Hollweg cookbook will do me.
