Which scooter for 6 yo girl?

My dd2 wants a new scooter for Xmas - she's had a mini micro. Can't decide a 2 wheeler or a next size up 3 wheeler - we were looking at micro scooter catalogue and she picked out the 2 wheeler Rocket model but that is Shock £99!
Any advice, or other good quality models? Her sister once had a £20 2 wheeler that fell apart....
Thanks

i have bought my 6 yr old ds the maxi micro scooter but yes its £97!! yikes, lots of his friends have them and we have the mini micro and they are good quality, great to use, even the mums go on the bigger ones! and they hold their re-sale value.

they do two wheel ones on the micro scooter website from about £50 and i would assume that they are the same good build quality, i know the one that you mean, the rocket model, we debated that but went for the maxi micro.

we have had numerous cheap £20 ones that just fell apart, probably 3 or 4 so we may as well have just bought the more expensive one in the first place!

just pre ordered my dd (6 today!) the maxi micro limited edition in pink for xmas- out next week - she's gonna love it! I'm too nervous trying other scooters -we have gone through loads and the micro have always been the ebst.

thanks 4madboys - do you think the big 3 wheelers are as much fun for bigger kids as the 2 wheelers? do they 'corner' as well and suchlike??

well all the kids at my boys school seem to have the maxi micros and LOVE them! they dont seem to be a fashion issue at all here! and yes they are great to corner on and i loved it when i had a go Blush we have paid a bit extra to get one of the limited edition colours, partly as everyone as his school has the black or the purple one, so we have ordered the green and black one. my son will be 7 in dec and its still 'cool' enough for him and my 9yr old rides them given the chance, i think it will last, i have 2 youger than my ds3 who the scooter is for, so they can grow into it after him, but if not they sell for the same price as new pretty much on ebay, i had a look to try and get one cheaper, but no such luck.

where are you? i have a friend in birmingham who found somehwere selling them for £60!!

the micro sprites also look good and where our second choice, but ds3 wanted the maxi micro.

I'm in Hertfordshire so B'ham bit too far sadly... Thanks for all the advice! Micro scooters really have the scooter market sewn up... Altho just seen on another thread 'flicker' scooters. Look a bit odd, anyone had a go on one?
