Is M&S Christmas food to order any good?

Probably a bit of a silly question as I know most M&S food is good but before I order prepared veg etc ready to cook just wanted confirmation of people who have had it before! Normally do it all myself but health issues this year I am thinking sod it!

they do a fab giant chocolate profiterole desert to order- my mother in law got it last year and it was lovely.

My mum did their turkey crown last year, it was fine, but no better than the butchers.

I've ordered things like the turkey, ham, salmon en croute and party trays for the festive season before and not had any problems. Have always been impressed with process, service and food! I would definitely recommend them and say go for it!

My nicest Christmas pressie when I lived in NZ for work was a M&S hamper from DM. Somehow their Christmas teabags are nicer than any other tea I've ever had.

It's definately possible to zuss up M&S sides, veggies etc at home to beat basic homemade things (or at least not come over as bought Wink)

yup. one or two puddings have been a bit disappointing but otherwise well worth it.

Their ready made Bread sauce and Cranberry are lovely.

Think will go for it this year, remember last few years have spent far too long in the kitchen, would rather be with my children! That profiterole desert looks a must though!

i've bought that chicken inside a duck inside a goose inside a turkey thing that feeds 10 - 14 people as i've the 5000 coming for lunch and very small kids to stop me doing anything useful.

can't wait!

The white chocolate and raspberry bomb dessert isn't great- MIL also got that last year and most of it went in the bin, so I would say stay clear of it!

I have ordered turkey crown and honey ham and a cheese board. We had them last year and they were very good indeed. I used to bone a turkey and sew it up again with a sausage meat stuffing and a gammon joint inside but CBA now.

Dont think I would buy the veg as I prepare mine the day before and store in fridge in plastic bags. But never say never! Grin
