Games for 6.5yr old boy - ideas please

got lego games, guess who, monopoly want something different, scrabble for kids or trivial pursuit perhaps

Cathedral
Chess (no stress chess is better good)
Gobblet
Bendominos
Qwirkle
Quoridor
Blockus (can get 2 player and 2-4 player)

The last 2 might be a bit old. Qwirkle has adding up in it but its fine for a 6yo playing with an adult.

Monopoly deal - fab card game based on monopoly, but much quicker.

If it doesn't have to be a board game how about rush hour or rush hour jr by thinkfun? Can play it alone or with a bit of help? I've got my 6yo the rush hour game for this xmas as it is right up his street.

He does like the playdough smashed potato game advert at the mo - but I can't face clearing it up after so that's not appearing in our house this xmas! (mean mummy!)

The Brain Box ones are nice - they have lots of different ones, I've got the ABC one for my almost five year old, and then I think it was Aminals and World for my 7 and 9 yr olds.
