Edible home made gifts that can be made in advance?

I'm planning to give both sets of grandparents a basket with an assortment of home made edible stuff as part of their Christmas present. Trouble is, everything will have to be made at least a week in advance, as we will be travelling to see them. Can anyone help with bomb-proof ideas that will store and travel OK?

I'm already planning to do some Delia Christmas Chutney. Never made it before, but it looks managable.

We did cranberry and white chocolate fudge last year for teachers, but I'm not sure how well it stores. The recipe is on here, so I'm hoping someone might know! Alternatively, some other sort of truffle, or maybe peppermint creams?

And I'd like to include some decorated biscuits/cookies as well, but need a good recipe that's not going to go all soft.

What about cranberry and pistachio biscotti?

Chocolate covered honey comb is really easy to make and can be made a week in advance.

Delias Xmas chutney is yum. Sorry not sure I think I have heard shortbread stores ok if sealed? I have usually heard that fudge doesn't last that long but will be watching with interest as I want to do similar

I'm not sure about a biscuit recipe that would last maybe more than a week, but how about this ?

Will try and think of some more ideas.

The new Christmas good food magazine has just come out - it always has good stuff in it!
