I really have absolutely no ideas for what to buy dd3. She think she's quite grown up as her 3 older sibs are all teenagers. Too old for dolls etc, what on earth can I get her? I really don't want to get clothes. No real idea of budget but really don't want a spoilt child. Will happily spend on something great. She has no interest in ps3/Wii etc (hooray). We are very rural so no real opps to use roller skates etc.

We've got dd (9) a tablet pc for xmas, which is perfect as she keeps pinching my e-reader and her ds has finally given up the ghost after she dropped it.
She's then got a couple of games, a few books, and a load of craft stuff too.
Mil has got her a sewing machine which I think was a bit of genius as her gifts are sometimes a bit hit and miss.

What about a concert for her favourite band?

Did she not write a letter to Father Christmas? I have learnt to stick to the list as DS really does want what he has put down there. I wrap some of them in different paper - they are from me. I also buy a few second hand bits in the year that DS wants and tell him he can have them but only at Christmas.Helps to make it all look a lot come Christmas morning.
I am jealous of people who's DC's don't want anything -just fun stocking filler stuff I guess. I do know lot's of children who don't seem to be bothered by what they get. Is that the reverse of our more limited 70's toy experience?

Sorry that last message wasn't meant to sound so stroppy! Have brought my niece (7)a pop up book that you do yourself. There are various versions about so a big one might be fun if she likes writing and creating. Has she got an unusual name? My DS has one so loves personalised stuff.
