What edible presents chicolate/fudge/peppermint cream type presents would last?would last

Just they'll be so much sweet stuff at Xmas so I want to make presents that last and don't have to be eaten right away.

none of those type of things last all that long. You are better making chutney or jams which will last for a good few months, and they are really easy to do too.

peppermint bark

melt good quality choc (e.g. dark) and spread thinly across parchment paper on a baking sheet. While still melted sprinkle with smashed up candy canes. Put in to the fridge until set then break it up in to pieces and store in the fridge until eating!

Lovely if you do 2 diff layers of choc (e.g. dark with white) - just make sure the first layer is set before adding the second!!
