Bloody iPhone. A letter from Santa app and he has replied to say that the elves are looking into it?? I have a feeling dd1 (13) might have helped her.

Good luck

WinterIsComing · 08/11/2011 14:29

Oh! I misread. I thought you were saying that your DD wanted an iPhone for Christmas!

NormanTheForeman · 08/11/2011 14:32

Playmobil?

Lots of good unisex/girls' sets - ranch, clinic, safari, www.playmobil.co.uk/on/demandware.store/Sites-GB-Site/en_GB/Search-Show?cgid=Freizeit-Ferienhausholiday etc..........

Mine is getting a new camera as the one we got her a few years ago is a bit rubbish. She could also do with a better CD player now, so I think that will be her main birthday present. Or possibly an MP3 player. I've asked my parents to get her horseriding kit. Toys/games she has asked for include fashion designing kit, magic set. She'll get books, DVD,CD, DS game, PJs, slippers - usual stuff.

Have to say I'm very surprised by the suggestion of a toy cooker for this age. She seems far too old. She would like a cooking apron and a cookbook, but for proper cooking. She also seems to old for playmobil to me, but she's never been very into it. She does, however, really like the Hogwarts Lego her brother just for his birthday!

I only have one DS and he's only 3, so I'm thinking back to what I would have liked as a 9 yo.

I had my desk for my bedroom and a swivel chair when I was 9 - would she like that? Is there anything she woudl like for her room eg new bedding, furniture (if you were thinking of buying that anyway), rug, wall stickers etc?

A stereo or something to listen to music on?

A musical instrument?

Some lessons of some nature eg riding lessons?

Is barbie too young for her now?

Board games for all the family to play together?

Mine's getting a Rubik's cube, a book I think she'll enjoy and probably a voucher for a taster session at in indoor climbing centre near us. She'd also love a sewing machine, or an MP3 player. Those are possible fall-back positions, if the climbing thing doesn't come off!

My 9 Year old DD wrote a letter for Father Christmas and requested a silver Pandora bracelet with a snowman charm and purple glass bead, Harry Potter Lego DS game Itunes voucher some silver high heeled shoes, a handbag and a fancy purse. I also find the toy cooker unusual dont think mine would beinterested either

My 9yo niece asked for Harry Potter Lego. Has cost me a blooming fortune, but I got her the Night Bus. She'll really enjoy spending the time making it AND she'll add it to the box of Lego I got her last year and let her imagination go wild.
