Every year I face the same problem of what to get my dad and FIL. Neither has any hobbies to speak of (apart from going to the pub) and both will say 'Don't worry about me' when I ask for any ideas from them! The standard is a jumper/shirt, some fancy chocs, occasionally a CD, book that I know will be never be listened to or read...My budget for each is about £40 - would love to know what you get yours/ideas for mine!?!?

Cheese!
Sounds weird but there is this little cheese shop in Islington that does these amazing fancy stinky odd cheeses that my dad loves and my mum refuses to buy for him. They package it up wonderfully in a wooden crate and my dad was delighted the first year and has actually asked for it each year since.
Although my mum does make him keep it in the shed [and eat it there too!]

ive got my parents in law one of those personalised calendars with their 5 grandchildren on it (£15). thats a joint gift. then ill get him a book (£10) and have got mil a nice bottle of cava (£8 reduced to £5!) and box of chocolates (£5). we dont spend much on each other, its all about the kids in our family.
plus, seen as ive got 3 kids to spend on and all my in laws are coming to us this year, i cant afford to spend alot on the adults.
