I have been trawling the internet all morning and can't find one anywhere. I thought I had cracked it with Amazon until I saw the expected delivery date was between now and Feb 2012.

DS has his heart set on one and is sure he will be getting it as he has put it at the top of his Christmas list to Father Christmas. Does anyone know anywhere that has them in stock or if they will be being restocked soon? It is all DS is talking about and I really don't want to disappoint him

TIA

Just remembered that I was at Trafford Centre last week and I am fairly certain I saw it in Boots there - might be worth a phone call at least?

fantus · 07/11/2011 13:14

ceebeegeebies, I have just rang them and the lady thought she had seen them only to come back and tell me they have sold out this morning!

No luck with any of the independent toy stores either, bugger

whimsy · 07/11/2011 13:57

Found one at Toys r us Gloucester. Do you know anyone there? :o

ceebeegeebies · 07/11/2011 14:12

Fantus sorry, if only I had remembered yesterday about the Trafford Centre you might have got one Sad

fantus · 07/11/2011 14:21

No, no one near Gloucester Grin

Right, I have called in reinforcements. I have spoken to my dad who lives near Belfast and he has said he can pick it up from Smyths tomorrow after work. I have rang the store and they said they can only keep one on hold until the close of business today (aaarrgghh) but that they have 15 in stock so if I call back in the morning there should definately be one left that they can reserve for my dad to pick up later that day. He is coming over for the weekend in December so he can bring it with him then.

I just now have to hope that no more than 14 people in Belfast suddenly decide they need a bloomin Mega T Rex in their lives between now and 9am tomorrow morning

Hope they came into stock, fantus and that your DS is delighted with his toy. My Ds is 3, and he doesn't really have any concept of being able to request things frm Father Christmas yet. So I can buy whatever I would like for him and there is no expectation or hope on his part - he's happy with anything. I know that it wil be different next year when he goes to school and hears conversations around him!

fantus · 08/11/2011 17:18

A quick update. My dad rang this afternoon to say he had been to Smyths in Belfast and picked up the elusive mega t rex and he will bring it with him when he comes to visit next month, so panic over. What's the bets this time next week the stores are flooded with them!

A big massive bunch of Flowers to you all for taking the time to search and offer your help. I will be lurking in these corners in case anyone else finds themselves fantically searching for a must have toy for their DC's in case I can help in any way.

That's great news, glad you've got sorted Smile

I bought the imaginext batcave for a bargain price of £32 back in September, and the t rex a couple of weeks ago. Am not normally so organised but am due to give birth 21 Dec so need to be this year. Am so glad I am now tho, as am new to all this and it hadn't occurred to me they'd sell out so early. Since reading your thread I've realised that I could now sell these toys for far more than I paid for them, but don't think I could bear DS's disappointment Grin.

CherryMonster · 08/11/2011 19:32

thats great, but if anyone else is in a similar situation i live 12 miles from gloucester and can pick one up if needed. x

fantus · 09/11/2011 19:37

Just had an e-mail from Argos to say they have had more stock delivered. I knew this would happen! But it is ok because they have now bumped the price back up and I got mine for £10 cheaper.

Good luck silver28, I can understand you wanting to be organised this year. 21st dec is my birthday too and I've always loved being a Christmas baby
