Ideas for a Christmas gift for DD's Childminder

I need your help, I want to get DD's childminder a gift for Christmas, because she is lovely. Last year we got her a bottle of nice wine and a big box of Thornton's chocolates, but it seems uninspired and I dont want to repeat it again iyswim?

I know she likes Laura Ashley stuff, but we got her a scented candle gift set from there for her birthday, it was £18 and didnt look like much!

So, any ideas for a special gift? If there are childminders on here who ahve received a great gift please let me know.

Do you know her other parents? If so, you could all go in together to get her something really special, maybe from LA.

We have in the past bought vouchers for a posh local spa, as she doesn't treat herself or give herself much time off.

Also a restaurant voucher.

Thats a great idea, I have the number of one of the other mums (DD and her daughter get on famously) and I think she knows the other two parents, so I will give her a call and see if she is up fr a 'joint' gift, thank you!

One year, we gave my DDs Childminder a 'night off'. It was a box containing a bottle of wine, some popcorn, chocolates, voucher for a DVD, face mask that sort of thing.

I think it went down well.

Ah I am really liking the idea of the 'night off' box!
