Playmobil Egyptians - Do you have them? Are they played with a lot?

I am told Dd will be studying the Egyptians after Christmas and, as an avid Playmobil fan, I wondered if she would like a Playmobil Egyptian set or two for her Christmas.

She has quite a lot of Playmobil but it is all related to things she experiences or has experienced in real life (more or less).

I wondered if the Egyptian sets were interesting beyond the initial novelty of them and if dcs played with them a lot?

Was desperate for them for ages , loved them for 6 months, never looks at hem now . The pyramid is a right faff to construct and reconstruct - going to ebay ours i think! The people got played with, and the sphinx - they were worth the money (half price).

That is half what I suspected - thank you jimswife. I am sure someone else said it was really difficult to store.

You could get a couple of the smaller pieces, say the sphinx and the temple doorway thing, and the bandits with camels? They are more hardy and easy to put somewhere, whilst still having play value. Mind you, the pyramid is half price in a few places atm, e.g. Boots I think.

I saw a pyramid and sphinx + people and other little bits and bobs that sold for £25 on ebay.

If you got something like that you wouldn't be too bothered if one part of it is ignored, you'd be able to sell it for that again, and you wouldn't have to put it together - result!

I loved the Egyptians for years after we did them at school, I would have loved that stuff.

The pyramid is reduced to 40 quid in argos
