Im stuck on what games I can buy for C'mas - love to buy them and play them as a fmaily. Have kids Charades, Money Monopoly various Orchard Toys.

What does your DS enjoy playing?

Ds is 7 in March and he loves the Lego games? We have the pirate plank game, he plays the sheep one at a friends, and have bought the Creationary one for Christmas.

He also enjoys Jenga, Sssh don't wake dad, Operation, Monopoly.

I will get Twister and Guess Who? this year when I see a good offer.

HTH

Yes Ive seen the Creationary one looks great. Can I ask when I looked at the pirate plank one it looked abit simple/easy/cheap for the price what do you think?

He also loves Jenga and Guess Who which we have...thanks think I will go for the sssh dont wake dad or Spong Bob operation!

He loves Pirate Plank because he can stitch up his dad, by ganging up with his mum! Maybe that's why i recall it fondly :)

They are actually more fun than they look...i was a bit cynical at first. My db bought it but i have decided to buy one from us this year. Creationary looks better value too, however there is a similar larger game.can't remember the name offhand.

ds's (nearly 8 this year) most played game from last Xmas has been a pack of Uno cards he had in his stocking. He's asked for Uno Extreme this year (think its basically the same game with a machine that spits the cards out).

He has a couple of the Lego games (Minotaurus, Harry Potter & Lava something), and he enjoys them (Minotaurus the most), but they arent out that much.

Lego games are great. DH is 32 (no kids yet) and has several including the pirate plank and lego creationary. They are great with our nephew and over a few drink with adult (??) friends!!

my ds loves snakes and ladders - no skill involved so he has a good chance of winning!!, dominoes, the game where you have a head and have to put all the pieces, eg eyes, mouth on before the timer runs out, pop up pirate

I have a DD, but she recently took into school Uno Extreme and tells me the boys loved playing that!

Blokus - great game age 5 upwards but also very good strategy if you like to be competitive!
