DD is 3.10. She understands sort of what Christmas is, and Santa and all that. However, last year we realised how 'sort of' it as as all the cute Christmas things either totally passed her by or upset her.
For example, we put out reindeer food. DD totally bemused. Another example: we started off her presents with her stocking, meaning to lead up to her big resent. She was simply totally disappointed with the contents of the stocking, thinking that these were her Christmas presents.
Have we relly doe a poor job explaining things to her? Is it worth trying again this year? Should we just make it a tinsel and present fest (and I am talking about the present side of things here not the religious side) until she's older?
