I've just ordered my food from Ocado. To be delivered on the 23rd December (in case of any problems). They have some spaces for Chrismas Eve Wink

Oooh!!!!

RefereezaWanka · 28/10/2011 22:02

Sorry, meant to say Oooooh, must have a butchers at that! They dont usually release Xmas slots so early...

belledechocchipcookie · 28/10/2011 22:05

They emailed last month giving the date, I didn't get a reminder though. It was today IIRC. Go, quickly. They don't take the payment until the food's delivered but the order needs to be more then £90. Stick a goose and a turkey in your basket, 'pay', then change it before the deadline. It takes three minutes.

Its only if you are signed up to Ocado Reserved, apparently. The plebs like me have to wait until Nov 30th!

Just made an order - 11am on Christmas Eve.

belledechocchipcookie · 28/10/2011 22:22

Grin I still managed to get a great slot, 23rd December. We can spend Christmas Eve baking jam tarts and going to the panto rather then having to worry about being back in time for a delivery. Bliss.

Sorry Refereeza Sad

I booked my Waitrose slot for the 23rd around a month ago, £50 limit, will go back and add stuff later on.

belledechocchipcookie · 29/10/2011 11:37

Yes, they usually do for Christmas Sad I really hate the supermarket though, especially at Christmas, so £9.99 is a bargain if it means I don't have to go. It's a bit pants that I pay monthly for 'free' deliveries as well though.

No Waitrose deliveries here Sad

I booked my Waitrose slot a week or so ago and they were filling up fast.Just transferred the basket from the order I made for the same date last year and will tweek it nearer the time.

belledechocchipcookie · 29/10/2011 12:01

I've done mine. I've also found the 'make your own hamper' bit of the F&M web site, I won't be buying that though Blush

I have just had two Ocado deliveries, and was not impressed. I dont think I could rely on them for any Christmas food!

I dont think they have cooled vans any longer. The dairy was warm, and the milk tasted off the following day, even if it was within date. I had ordered 3 packs of cod, enough for the meal I was planning. One pack was ripped, so they took it back and refunded that. But I had to put the other packs in the freezer, and cook something else on the day. A yogurt pot was crushed, and had filled up a pack of raspberries. The yogurt was refunded, but the raspberries could be rinsed....
Both packs of chicken breasts were found to be off. They refunded those, but so annoying when half of the dinner foods have to be chucked out, and you need to go into the shops to buy dinner foods.

belledechocchipcookie · 29/10/2011 12:13

Wow, I've never had that many problems with them before. I've had the odd crushed item which they have refunded, the food is delivered cold and it lasts. Maybe there was a problem with the van? They are better then Tesco and Asda, there's a lot of threads complaining about them on there.
