Does it really cost £30 to make a 10" doll? DD1 wants Momo doll but they are ££'s on Ebay

I can only find a momo doll on Ebay - where they are selling for £25+.

Does it really cost that much to make one?

I have a lovely MN'er who will knot one for me but I cannot find a pattern.

And it's the only thing dd1 is asking Father Christmas for

It probably doesn't 'cost' £25 for the yarn but if you factor in time, then yes. I'm currently knitting a scarf and it's taken me about 5 hours. The yarn itself cost me £10. So if I charged someone for the scarf (which I wouldn't as I am a crap knitter), the scarf would be way more than what you would pay in Accessorize.

Oh dear!! Thanks for replying peaz.

Not sure I can pay that tbh but at least I know I'm not being ripped if I were too
