Dunno, probably local garden centre where FC brings his reindeer. Either that or another garden centre where you go on a miniature railway through a creepy wonderland of soft toys.

guillivers world in warrington- got a full day out with turkey bap lunch, pantomines and shows etc all day plus grotto and present for £10 per person :)

olibeansmummy · 27/10/2011 16:04

Sunnyday where did you get this deal?! and are the rides open??

scrappydappydoo · 27/10/2011 16:05

Painshill - never been before but heard its good.

sunnyday123 · 27/10/2011 16:13

i got it off their website a couple of months ago - gone up a bit now but still a great deal i think - check their website:

www.gulliversfun.co.uk/warrington/events/gullivers-christmas-26-nov-to-24-dec-2011.htm

It starts from £15 pp without dinner now and £17.95 with turkey bap lunch. I've heard its good and they do the place up with fake snow, reindeers etc. They have some rides open but not all but its open from 10-5 with lunch and shows so i expect you dont need all the rides anyway.

It costs me up to £10 for a normal grotto these days so i think its good value. I can't wait!

I went the alton towers sleepover last year but its more expensive this year. That was brilliant!

Bluewater, hopefully this year we will actually make it unlike last year when the snow meant we couldn't make it.

SunshineOnARainyDay · 27/10/2011 16:31

Center Parcs. Having a 4 night break from 19th Dec. Went last year too and it was fab!

AVoidkaTheKillerZombies · 27/10/2011 16:44

I really want to do Center Parcs next year.

Will have to start saving now.

Centre parcs for us this year.

LordOfTheFlies · 27/10/2011 18:23

We're planning a Bluewater visit as well Haribojoe they've got a New York Theme at the Venue.
My DCs fancy the idea of the snow slide but they're too old for Father Christmas.
They did see FC 2 years ago at Winter Wonderland Bluewater. DH said it was good. (I went to M&S) Grin

Selfridges.

olibeansmummy · 27/10/2011 19:36

Thanks sunny day :) that's still a good deal. Ds is only 2.5 but went mad for the gullivers advert over the summer lol he'd love it!

Tillyscoutsmum · 27/10/2011 19:40

We're off to Bluestone for a weekend at the beginning of December.

LordOfTheFlies · 27/10/2011 23:14

We took the DCs to Gullivers in Milton Keynes for Hallowe'en 2 years ago. (They would have been 10 and 7.6 at the time)

I read the online reviews and thought I had seriously blundered and considered not going (it's a 1.5 hour journey for us) but we'd paid £45 for the tickets.

Really glad we went.DCs loved it. The rides are all child friendly. The staff were really good (some didn't say much to the children but none was rude, which the reviews said they were). Quite a few were really chatty with the DCs.
Toilets were clean, food was okay.We took a picnic for lunch and had pizza/baked potatos later.
There was a really good fireworks display at the end.

Christmas would be really special there IMO, if Hallowe'en was anything to go by. Only thing stopping me is my DCs are too old now.But Gullivers is ideal for maybe up to 10 yo.

LittleDragon · 27/10/2011 23:32

We're spending 10 days at Butlins in Skegness from the 23rd Dec and even without a DC with us I'm planning to see Santa. I love everything Christmas and have started sorting my decorations out tonight and been listening to Christmas radio on the net.

funnypeculiar · 27/10/2011 23:40

Painshill too, scrappy - we went last year and it was amazing - so hope it won't disappoint this year!
