home made candles? arty crafty types come and help me please!

has anyone made or seen homemade candles for the kitchen, with herbs in etc. I saw these somewhere a long time ago and now cant think where, how could i make them? just put a sprig of rosemary or sage etc inside the wax? or stick to edges of a glass?

If you go to pinterest they have a lot of candles with bits added, e.g. cinnamon sticks tied around with a red ribbon. They also have tutorials on how to make candles but I've never paid close attention, just seen they exist :)

I've done plenty of candles, never with herbs but with other things in. I'd just mix the herbs in with the melted wax and pour into a mold. Candle making is brilliantly simple.
