The foil ones, from the milkman. I would like to make something Christmassy with them, at school (I'm a teacher). A quick google has come up with "thread them together to make a garland" - but does anyone have any more creative ideas?

I save pretty shiny wrappers from chocolates. They are then pasted onto teracotta pots with PVA glue. When dry, you can then put some varnish (polyurethane) over them if you'd like, or just use as they are. A nice plant like basil or something from the shop looks great in this!

I don't know how thick the bottle caps are, but you could try them?

How about some tree ornaments? If you fold back the sides of the lids, to make a pentagon, it takes 20 pentagons I think to make a sphere. We made them from circles cut from old Christmas cards one year, when I was about 9. I loved those!

Thanks Jo - that pentagon idea is a good one, and I know what you mean. I'll give it a go!
